Couple of new pictures of Cadbury. She is an indoor, litterbox trained bunny. I do have an exercise pen for her for outside that she gets to romp in when I'm out throwing the ball or whatever, and able to keep an eye on her. She is a very mild mannered bun and is calm enough to go for car rides. The picture below is of hers riding in the cart at Lowe's. We also have taken to using the pen for John. John is a blind rooster who lives up on the side porch. He's a real sweetie and it's interesting watching him get around. He thoroughly enjoys the x-pen, and the two of them looked so cute!
The past couple of weeks has been a time of reflection for me. 2007 in general was probably one of the worst years for me. Some was my own stupidity, and some was just the way the dice fell, I guess. I hope I've learned from the year, though time will tell, I'm sure.
One of the reflections was realizing the things that interest me, outside of any relationship I'm in, and realizing that despite my interests I was waiting on a guy to kickstart them into happening. I dated a couple of men (over the years) who's interests resided in motorcycles. They enjoyed talking about their bikes, the memories and such, and always promised to show me. And silly me, I sat and waited for those promises to happen. And they never did. And I realized what a huge amount of time I'd wasted, when I could relatively easily have gone out and taken a class and learned myself. Mind you, I'm not bitchin', as it's my own fault. I'd like to learn to ride a bike. I'd also like to learn to fly. Nothing major, nothing serious, but the satisfaction of knowing how to do it, and then being able to enjy it whenever I wanted.
So, my intention for 2008, (along with getting a passport (this year) to go over and see family in the Isle of Man and harrass lovingly, my dear friend in Scotland (within the next couple of years)), is to take a Harley Davidson Easy Rider course, and learn how to ride a bike.
Busy week, getting the pasture fenced, finally, and moving the goats to the new stuff. Because of this, those local (?), I'm looking to add some more goats, inexpensively. Females or castrated males! If you know of anyone, I'm hoping for some more rescues, or less then $20.00 a goat. Thanks!
New rat, black and white. She was dumped on me. A gal at the college had seen my photos of Faery, and brought this one to me. "Stupid" supposedly bit her kids and the hubby was gonna toss the rat out. "Stupid" is now Pixie Dust, hasn't bitten me, even after smearing cheese on my hand. (However, the dog pinned my hand and dog and 2 rats licked it clean! Ugh! LOL!) Anywho, Pixie and Faery are doing great together, and are both sweeties.
So, I decided on a change, one of many, but this was a good time for it. I was born and have been blonde for my 28 years. Darker to lighter, and back again, as the season changed, or my mood took me.
So, I went reddish brown. And I'm having a blast with it. It was a touch darker then intended, but it's good for winter. I've been amused as people still recognize me. I didn't think I was that easy to remember.
Anyways, not sure how long I'll go with it, but having fun now. Don't have any regular camera pics yet, will get them loaded when I can.
